Dancing With the Stars meets the Dragons' Den

I used to blog about Dancing With the Stars and I really got involved with critiquing form and predicting winners for a couple of seasons. However this new season, like the last one, has just proved to me that the glamor has faded in my heart.

My latest fad is watching Dragons' Den on BBC America. It's fun to watch entrepreneurs pitching to multimillionaire investors, often showing up in ragged jeans offering a 5% stake in an untested concept in exchange for £250,000. ROFL!

Peter JonesIf I were a Dragon watching the Stars Dancing tonight, I would have to say, "I'm out."

Unless I were Peter Jones. In that case I would compliment them on their clothes, and then declare myself out.

PS. Note to Peter: I have the same trouble with my cowlick. Cynthia Edwards

Great way to pick the next world leader

Barak Obama Mitt Romney

If you are as tired as I am of the electioneering in America, let me propose a way to select the next president of the USA: Put all the candidates on Dancing With the Stars and let the winner rule!

Can anyone doubt that the final contest would be between Obama and Romney?

I personally think Huckabee and Clinton would be the runners-up, because (1) Mike Huckabee is musical and also has a strong prayer life ... that would go in his favor; and (2) everyone would want to see Hillary Clinton in skimpy outfits and sequins as many times as possible. But in the end, neither of those would have the charisma or popularity to win.

I picked the winners of Dancing with the Stars last season. Can I accurately predict the outcome of the next election with this method?

Watch this space and see!
